“I recover loudly so others don’t die quietly.”
We are facing a silent epidemic—and it’s not just opioids.
Behind closed doors, alcohol is taking more lives than all other drugs combined. It's glamorized in culture, normalized as self-care, and quietly killing women at a rising rate.
In just four years, I’ve lost over a dozen friends to alcoholism and addiction. But I’m one of the lucky ones. I got help. I found recovery. And now—I speak for those who can’t.
Why I Speak
I don’t share my story for sympathy—I share it to shatter stigma, ignite change, and offer hope.
As a transformational recovery coach, founder of the online community for women in recovery - Women in the Rooms - speaker, and survivor of 15 years of alcoholism, I’ve made it my mission to speak truth—on stage, in treatment centers, at conferences, and across communities. I speak not just about addiction, but about emotional sobriety, shame, trauma, healing, and the deep work of recovery.
Recovery is not just about quitting a substance.
True recovery is a rebellion—a rejection of everything that kept us sick, silent, and small.
Karen Rubinstein

Karen Rubinstein: Transformational Speaker. Recovery Advocate.
Women’s Empowerment Leader.
Karen Rubinstein is a powerful voice for women navigating the intersection of trauma, addiction, and emotional healing.
As a transformational recovery coach and founder of Women in the Rooms, she is redefining what true recovery looks like—one story, one stage, and one woman at a time.
A survivor of sexual abuse, PTSD, depression, and 15 years of alcoholism, Karen knows firsthand what it means to suffer in silence. But more importantly—she knows how to rise.
After a complete transformation—mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual—Karen turned her pain into purpose and created Women in the Rooms, a groundbreaking recovery community for women who feel unseen, unheard, or underserved by traditional programs.

"Her talks explore shame, emotional sobriety, cultural conditioning, and the hidden crisis of high-functioning alcoholism in women.
Karen speaks to the woman behind the glass of wine—the one holding it all together but slowly falling apart inside."
